Ordered 3 rolls and a miso soup. They were super nice and gave me a free calpico drink and another free miso soup. Said they wanted to thank me for being a loyal customer. Seriously they have the best customer service. I always recommend them to anyone and everyone I know. It's my favorite sushi restaurant ever. I literally compare every sushi place I go to to them. I wish they were open earlier but it would be dangerous then lol. So I usually get them on occasion on my day off when I can. I always usually get the same ones and sometimes branch out to different rolls. But my go tos are the snowman roll. It's baked and seriously my favorite besides the red dragon roll. The sauce they put on is amazing. And the rainbow roll. The fish is always fresh. Food is very filling and wash it all down with the miso soup which has perfect cubes of tofu. My mouth waters still thinking about the food.

This is the best Sushi I have ever had besides a small place in Maui and only because they catch their fish daily and list the fisherman that caught it. Josinia is wonderful and so pleasant. Service is outstanding and the place is clean. Love it!!!

After watching the PPA Tour - the Masters Quarterfinals matches at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, I was starving! I knew I wanted to eat sashimi for dinner. I searched for the best sushi place in town on Yelp and I found it right here at Otori Sushi. It's located at Ramon Plaza in Cathedral City just 4 mins from my resort. I arrived around 6:30 PMish and scanned the QR code to get on the waitlist. It was a full house and there were about over 10+ parties in front of me on the waitlist. Most of them were for a party of 2 people. I was dining solo... thought I would be able to jump ahead if there was a single space at the bar. Nope, that didn't happen. It's all good. I prefer to eat at the table anyway. My wait time was about 30+ mins which wasn't too bad. When my table was ready, they lead me to the left side of the restaurant that is kinda secluded from the rest of the place. I was good with the peaceful privacy. Although, there were two other tables alongside with me. My server was super amazing and friendly. She described all the fishes and veggies in the sashimi platter. Thank you miss! I upgraded my sashimi platter from 16 pieces @ $39.95 to 24 pieces for $15 more. It comes with 4 salmon, 4 tuna belly aka toro, 4 bluefin tuna, 4 yellowtail (1st 16 pieces) plus 4 albacore and 4 octopus (added 8 pieces). Trust me, it's worth every penny! Get it!! OMG... the BEST sashimi in town! Excellent and fresh quality fishes that melts in your mouth at every bite! Salmon is my all time favorite fish, but after trying the tuna belly, it's a toss up. Not so great albacore and yellowtail that I've had in the past at other sushi places has deterred me from eating them, but after trying them here, it's no more a deterrent... they were so very good. The fishes tasted sweet not like candy sweet, but fish sweet. The cuts were just perfect. I also enjoyed their sushi ginger very much. It was indeed the BEST sashimi I have ever eaten in my life. The platter was so pretty and colorful, too. It also came with gobo, pickled eggplant which was the 1st for me, and pickled cucumber. Just delish!! I fell in love at first sight and at every bite!!! I couldn't help myself to also get the seaweed salad... it was awesomely delicious, but its price was $10.95 which I thought was a tad pricey IMHO. It came with gobo and pickled eggplant plus crabmeat stick. I guess price was justified. Got an order of scallop sushi, too. It was very yummy and had good amount of scallops. When you're in the Palm Springs area, come check out Otori Sushi! I highly recommend this place for their amazing sashimi + sushi plus great service in a nice ambiance. Fyi, they open at 5:00 PM daily except Sundays (closed) and close at 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM depending on the day. I know I'll be back for sure. I may just have to make my way back here just because I love sashimi. See you here! Btw, I returned here the next night for a to-go order. Got the Chirashi Bowl plus Rainbow Roll, Red Dragon Roll, and Giant Scallop Sushi. Fishes in the Chirashi Bowl were not at the same fresh and sweet quality as in the sashimi platter, but still good. Both rolls and scallops were tasty and of good size. Extra sushi ginger at no extra cost. Thank you Otori Sushi!

Life is short and should be enjoyed to the fullest. One of the best ways to do this is experience food culinary at its finest. One of the best sushi places you'll find is right here at Otori. The sashimi is as fresh as you'll ever find; and the cuts of sashimi is perfectly graded 10/10 with every cut. From a presentation perspective, both Jin and David will blow away your mind from experience to flavors to every last bite. Their expertise is defining the "sushi experience" is above par and will take you through a journey of culinary excellence. If you frequent often, you just might get lucky enough to experience true Japanese wasabi in its perfect form of presentation and true essence of flavor. Tonight I decided to add a photo of such an experience presented by Jin and David. An absolute desert gem and a 1,000 star rating out of 5 stars. As fresh and as high quality as you can find when it comes to sushi. Tell them DC sent you!!!

Located in Cathedral City near Palm Springs. Large parking lot, because there are several other businesses in the strip mall. Nice and friendly staff. On a busy Saturday night, they were able to accommodate our party of 12. We did have to sit in 3 separate tables but we made it work. They have plenty of options for appetizers including edamame, but many sushi items to choose from too. Price seemed to be a little more expensive than other places. They did have some sushi choices that I had never seen or tried before. Taste was good. Items were nicely prepared, looked great. I enjoyed everything from the seaweed salad and edamame to the rainbow roll, and too many other choices. I tried probably 15 different items. Unfortunately I was too busy eating and didn't get many pictures of the food choices.

We enjoyed eating sushi here. Local favorite. Our edamame was over steamed. The tamago was really nice. Friendly service.

Good service, great sushi rolls. We ordered two rolls just to get a taste of what they had to offer. I enjoyed watching the chefs carefully prepare orders from the bar side. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying fresh rolls and sashimi! Parking is great, easy to find, inside was very clean and quiet enough to enjoy a meal but not so quiet that you feel the place is dead. We came on a steady Friday night.

Waited 15 minutes on a Saturday night in the summer . After we ordered, I've never seen 4 sushi rolls made so fast . It was my son's first time eating sushi. I literally said it takes a while for the sushi chef to make the food so be patient. Well he is spoiled now. It might have been 10 minutes from order to table. Everyone including the rookie loved all 4 rolls and the shrimp tempura . We have a new sushi lover in the family! Now how do we find a place at home with such high standards ?

Such a great find in Palm Springs! We visited Otori around 8pm on a Friday night and it was packed! Luckily, we only had to wait around 10 minutes for a table. The menu is extensive with fresh and baked rolls, teriyaki plates, and sashimi. We started with the Planet appetizer, which is a huge version of spicy tuna crispy rice. Personally, I enjoyed this than the normal take on the dish! It was one large crispy rice medallion, piled on with spicy tuna and avocado. I will be dreaming about this dish, and will definitely order it again when I return! For my main roll, I got the Mango Tango. I was surprised that the mango was more of a salsa on top than incorporated into the roll. It was tasty, but I would've preferred if the mango had been sliced, and wrapped in the roll. This roll also had a TON of tuna in it! Each piece was almost too big for 1 bite. Lastly, service here was absolutely fantastic. Our waitress overheard us talking about our friend's recent job promotion, and brought over a little mochi dessert to help us celebrate! Otori was a great start to an amazing weekend.
